My March Favorites

So March is coming too an end and the clocks are changing YAY! (well in Ireland anyway) so that means longer days and bright evenings which I love so anyway onto my march favourites, beauty and random shtuff so keep reading :D

1 - Pretty little liars - tv show - So if you know me you'l know im kind of obsessed with this show and this month season 4 finished and it was pretty amazing! If you haven't been watching this you better start because it is the ultimate show!

2 - Inglot gel eye liner - This eye liner is amazing and it is defiantly a new favourite of mine! Once you put on this eye liner it WONT budge! It is a bit of a nuisance some times if you get it on your hand or any where were you don't want it, it is quite hard to get off but if you use eye make up remover you'l be graaand!

3 - MAC heroine lipstick - This is the perfect purple lipstick! It is a matte lipstick which I prefer, it was discontinued in MAC but it has recently come back so I was straight in when I found out it was back!!

4 - Grapefruit - yes... very random but iv been loving grapefruit this month, iv started to eat a bit more healthy and stuff like that so iv been having one a day because they taste sooo good and they are great for you!!

5 - choker necklace - So you might remember in the 90's the chokers, well there coming back in fashion which I think is fab! So I had to get my own! I got mine in topshop and I LOVE its because its pink, and pink is my favourite colour so I couldn't resit buying it!

im also wearing MAC heroine lipstick in the picture

6 - All woman stalk - APP - I really like this app! It is like a blog that has posts on everything and any thing! It has 100s of posts so its endless reading on lifestyle tips, travel, celebs, beauty and everything you can Imagen!

7 - Fancy by Iggy Azelia - song - This is defiantly my fave song of the month iv been replaying it over and over! I think Iggy is so cool and she is a fellow Aussie girl so that's even cooler! The video is great, its based on the movie Clueless which im sure so many of you have seen and if not you must watch it! Give it a listen :)

8 - Cocoa Brown - Fake tan - Iv been loving this tan as its so affordable, easy to apply and gorgeous! Its a mouse formula, it spreads so nicely and you can see it when you apply it so you don't get any lines or anything like that!

9 - mask of magnaminty from lush - face mask - This is a lovely face mask, iv been using it a lot recently and I feel like it has helped my skin clear up a lot! I don't have acne or anything like that but I do get hormonal breakouts and stuff like that but my skin is a lot clearer now that iv been using it more! Its so fresh and I would defiantly recommend it!

10 - Babydoll cosmetics eye lashes - When I was at the beauty show I saw this brand for the first time and I fell in love with there wispy eye lashes! Iv been wearing them every time iv gone out and there lovely and natural but they give you that "umph" and will complete any make up look!

I hope you enjoyed this post and like my March favourites and give them a shot for yourself!
Hope you are having a nice weekend.

Make up look using the urban decay naked 3 palette

Hey everyone, if you want to see how I did this make up look using the urban decay naked 3 palette then keep reading :)

1 - first I primed my skin with "catrice cosmetics prime and fine" primer which is my favourite primer!
2 - then I applied "rimmel wake me up" foundation on with my "blank canvas flat top kabuki brush".
3 - I contoured my face with my "crown" concealer palette as I demonstrated in my last post.
4 - I then powdered my skin with my "MAC" studio fix powder, which is another favourite of mine!

now onto the fun part which is the eyes!

5 - I primed my eyes with "MAC" painterly paint pot.
6 - Then using my "MAC" 217 brush - my all time favourite brush! I applied the colour "strange" all over my eye lid.

1.  2. 3.

7 - Next using my "la creative" pencil brush I applied the colour limit in the corner of my eyes and the crease.
8 - Then I blended in that colour using the same "MAC" 217 brush
9 - I then applied the colour "nooner" again using the "la creative" pencil brush in the crease and outer corners of my eyes.

10 - I blended out this colour with the 217 brush and kept adding the colour "nooner" with the pencil brush then blending again until I was fully happy with the blending as you want it to fade nicely into the brow bone.

11 - as shown in my last photo you can put sellotape on your eye like so, for the next step for a more precise line.
12 - now for the hard part eye liner! I use gel eye liner all the time that is my favourite but if you prefer liquid, cake, pencil or whatever you use that's cool! Use the eye liner that suits you! I use the "inglot" gel eye liner, and I use a small brush from art and hobby.

13 - when doing the flick which is properly the hardest part I place the brush as shown in this photo and I drag inwards towards the eye.
14 - next using my pencil brush with the colour "nooner" I put it underneath my eye and then blend it, then I put eye liner on the lower lid but only on the outer corner, then I blend it using the pencil brush again.

15 - once im happy with the blending I applied a generous amount of my "benefits they're real" mascara on bottom and top lashes.
16 - I applied my "essence" lip liner all over my lips and then I applied my "MAC" myth lipstick over it.

I hope you like this make up look and I hope you found this post helpful! This make up look could be perfect for a night out, a Debs/Prom or any other occasion! If you don't have the naked palette 3 you can use this post with any other colours you like, I chose the naked palette 3 as it is my "go to" eye shadows at the moment I think it is gorgeous!

Thank you for reading
Have a great day

Contouring with cream products

Hey everyone, sorry I haven't posted in a while. Today's post is about contouring with cream products! I'm sure many of you have seen the picture of Kim Kardashian and her famous make up routine!

Last week I bought the "crown" concealer palette so I tested it out last night! I love it! Its amazing for contouring as it has so many different colours! You can order these online on the crown website there approximately 20 euro! I totally recommend them!

So I gave the Kim Kardashian contouring a shot!

CONTOURING

Using the darkest colour I applied it on the areas of my face I want to look more structured and slimmer. So they are under the cheek bone - to find this you can feel your cheek and place the product in the more sucked in area. I put it on the top of my forehead on either side. I put it on the jaw line for a more structured look. Down the sides of my nose and up to the brow bone, this will make your nose appear slimmer.

HIGHLIGHTING

Using the lightest colour I started to highlight, you cant see this as well in the pictures as I am quite pale anyway. I highlight beside where I contour to make the contouring stronger! I highlighted under the eye in an upside down triangle shape, I highlighted above the cheekbone, underneath the cheekbone contouring, down the centre of the nose and up to the forehead, the cupids bow - above lip, centre of chin and you can highlight the brow bone as well if you like, I didn't do that as sometimes I think it can be a bit too much!

Now the most important part of the process is BLENDING! I cant stress how important this step is! You don't want to be walking out the door with big lines on your face looking like a zebra!! So using any foundation brush you have but if I was to recommend a brush I would say a stippling brush or a flat top kabuki brush but if you don't have these any foundation brush will do! First blend in the darker bits and then blend in the highlighted bits and then blend them together so they merge into each other naturally! Make sure you blend until it looks gorgeous and natural! The great thing about cream contouring is that it is a lot more natural than using powders! It is also great for someone with dry skin as it wont go patchy like powders might!

If you want a stronger contour you can add more or else you can go over this with powder bronzer and highlighters! Make sure you powder your make up after doing this. Contouring is great as it gives your face structure and life. When you just put on foundation your face looks flat and it has no dimensions atall so contouring puts the structure back into it. You can also create structure on your face that you may not have like strong cheekbones which a lot of people love!

I hope you found this post helpful and enjoyed reading it. I will be posting a lot more now as I have more time on my hands!

have an amazing day
